Dr. Rodgers graduated from Vanderbilt Medical School with a medical degree (MD) and a PhD in Microbiology & Immunology. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Miami - Jackson Memorial Hospital, after which he finished a fellowship in surgical oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He holds the title of Associate Professor of Surgery in the divisions of Endocrine Surgery and Surgical Oncology. He speaks English, Spanish, and German.
