About House to Home Organizing

Ben Soreff
Ben Soreff, professional organizer
Ben has had a passion for organization (and jigsaw puzzles) since he was a child growing up in Portland, Maine.
Ben attended Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY and graduated with a degree in American Studies. He has lived in Boston & New York City and worked in film & television. You may know his work as writer/producer of Young, Sexy & Royal for WE or Labor & Delivery for TLC. Seeking a new direction, he moved to Fairfield County to express his talent for creating order from chaos. With that in mind, he created House to Home Organizing to help his clients gain a better quality of life.
Over the last nine years of his organizing career, if you can name it, Ben has probably done it. His clients range from busy stay at home moms and dads to Level 5 hoarders from all walks of life and socioeconomic backgrounds. He strives to make the process fun and even joyful by taking the work seriously but never himself.
As a father to two young boys, Ben knows well the challenges of keeping a house not only functional but looking beautiful. He also brings a dad's perspective to organizing solutions. And yes, he also knows how it feels to step on a Lego with bare feet.

Organizing Services
The Child on the Go
Lego
Playrooms, mudrooms, bedrooms - we do it all. Armed with extensive knowledge of children's toys, interests and activities (including knowing the difference between Dora and Doc McStuffins), we can transform these areas into kid and adult friendly environments your children will love to spend time in, even when clean-up time arrives. Never step on a LEGO again.
Make Room for Baby
Ultrasound of baby
Whether it is your first, second, or sixth, prepping for baby can be stressful. We can create a new nursery, revamp a current nursery, or simply create spaces that will make bringing home baby a cinch for the whole household.
Attics, Basements, and Garages Oh My
Before and After of Basement Laundry Room
Clutter Busting 101. These are three of the most dreaded areas for homeowners, often dumping grounds for destination-delayed miscellaneous items. Let us transform those areas into usable space and help you learn to prioritize what lives in those spaces. We aren't afraid of dead mice.
The Busy Adult
Home office, kitchen/pantry, bathroom, master bedroom, dining/family rooms, closets/drawers plus pet and laundry areas - we will create spaces that are functional, accessible, and enjoyable for when you get home from work.
Moving into a new house
New Home - No Problem
From prepping your current home to go on the market, to unpacking at your new home, we have you covered. It has been said that moving is in the top three of major life pains. Let us take some of that burden off your hands.
School Readiness
School
From the first day of kindergarten to the last day of high school, all you should worry about is when they ask to borrow the car.
College Bound
Teenage Bedroom
Whether shipping off for the first year of college, coming home for summer vacation, or moving home after graduation, transition can be difficult. We can help create a room your college student will enjoy returning to while sparing you an eyesore.
Party Time
Getting ready for the holidays isn't just about parties. We can get your holiday preparations prioritized.
Empty Nesters
The children may have flown the coop yet the house is hardly empty. You now have different priorities. While some milestones may be emotionally charged, converting your children's rooms into usable space will keep things moving forward.
Move to Assisted Living
Older Adults
Preparing for assisted living and the transition to a new life chapter should be about honoring the past while dealing with a new reality.
Why is the can opener in the sock drawer?
We can train your Household Staff to keep your newly organized home beautiful.
