"damaged furniture"

"No suprise this co is not BBB certified-do not buy from them they sell damaged furniture that is delivered by a private company so they claim no responsibility when it arrives...my couch was missing center support legs and therefore a week after delivery began to break literally in half...I was told by Irene (cust serv rep) that I signed for it, true, but in order to notice the missing support I wouldve had to flip over the couch to see it was not visible and it was not the couch which I sat on in the store which is the one I was told I would be receiving. Lie after Lie with this company-basically i have a week old couch that we cant sit on and they refuse to do anything about it! Owning my own business, I am disgusted how they treated me on the phone and refused to resolve the issue. Buyers Beware-had I done my research I would have read all the negative reviews online and stayed away."

"Bought furniture with the understanding that it would be delivered over a weekend. I have it in writing as well...but the delivery guy has me under a different schedule. The staff is uncommunicative when I try to call back and the fine print is that R&F is not responsible for delivery. Wish I had shopped elsewhere"

"Customer service is not of interest to this company. Numerous times the furniture came in damaged and they did nothing to help me out besides set up a delivery company that I had to pay for out of pocket, but it would come off of my bill. In my opinion spend the extra cash at a better company."

"I MADE THE MISTAKE TO PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE,THE HAZZLE YOU WILL HAVE TO GO THRU WITH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IN EVERY WAY AND YES YOU HAVE TO SCHEDULE YOUR OWN DELIVERY THEN THEY CALL YOU TO ASK WHEN ITS SCHEDULED FOR,MY EXPERIENCE WAS POOR FROM START TO FINISH AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE!!"

"The shady salesman told me they would have it delivered to my house that very afternoon! What they didn't tell me was that it was a private company they deal with that give the R&F salespeople kickbacks for the referral. I was given a delivery window of between 5-8pm - the delivery company never called and when I called them at 7pm to confirm they said they were running late and would be there at 9pm - I was nice about it but at 9:45pm with an infant that needed to go to sleep I called again and they had shut there phone off. They finally called me at 10:30pm telling me that they would rather do it in the morning - I wasted my night and kept my infant up waiting for them. What a terrible ordeal - beware of their delivery contractors stay FAR AWAY and don't make the same mistake as we did."

"Although the prices are relatively reasonable the customer service is terrible. We spend nearly $4000 on a bedroom set, only to receive half the order on the scheduled deliver date. A dresser was left off the initial delivery, due to damage caused at the warehouse and the matress and box spring were accidentially located in Syracuse. When questioned about it the sales rep claimed it was only a small misuderstanding on our behalf and did not see the problem of not having a mattress for a week, since "we had the bed, just not the mattress". I would not recommend this place to anyone. Go to Pilgrim Furniture City, it is ten times better."
