D Tarinelli Architect

Don worked with my wife and I to create the plans for our home on Highland Lake in Winsted. The project was complicated by the fact that the new home had to be constructed on the existing foundation, which was very limited. Don created a design that my wife and I absolutely love and which fits the needs of our lifestyle perfectly. We've lived in the home for nearly a year now and we are still receiving compliments on the house from people passing by on the water or on the street nearly every time we are outside!

Don was very easy to work with during the design and he even kept tabs on the construction on his own dime! Don also recommended the builder I hired fo the project - Edward Kostak Carpentry of Colebrook. Ed is a master craftsman from framing to finish work, every detail perfect. He and Don work very well together and Ed was able to bring Don's design to life. We couldn't be happier!!

Thanks for leaving such a generous and detailed review, Jeff! It means a lot to us to know that our hard work pays off.

Don has created the plans for two homes where I have lived. Both have been major remodels of 1950's homes. In each he took the time to make them unique and to make the most out of each project. He is very professional and treats his work with pride and as if it was his own home. I have had compliments on both homes and we are very pleased. We have been at our Columbia, CT house 8 months and a neighbor said it looks 1000 times better. Also that Don 'nailed it'. Please consider Don in your planning, he is responsive and as honest as they come.
