Maria Robbins has been knitting and crocheting for over 20 years. During the past 5 years its been her privilege to share her knowledge with many, many wonderful people. Several beginning knitting classes are offered.
Services Xuxenaknits Offers
Choose from a series of hand knitting classes that are designed to teach different techniques depending on your skill level. The classes will take you from beginner to confident intermediate even if you have never knit before. First-time knitters will learn a variety of basic techniques in the level 1 classes, including cast-on, knit, purl, yarn over, decrease stitches (k2tog), bind-off and seaming. Level 2 classes will cover much more including garment shaping, reading patterns, finishing techniques and fixing mistakes.

I had always wanted to learn to knit, but realized that I really needed to take a class to learn how to. Maria was a great teacher and always willing to help with any problems that any student had (even if she had answered the question more than once). She was also very and encouraging, and allowed students to work at the pace that they felt comfortable with. The class was truly about understanding what you were doing, and not just rushing through projects, and that is something that I really appreciated.Report

The eigth session class was a joy. I'm new to knitting and Maria's class was a great way to learn how to knit. She is quite organized, very patience and funny. She gave each student the individual time and instruction needed. In addition, her love of knitting and her expertise propelled my desire to learn how to knit. Really, if you want to learn how to knit without stress, Maria is the instructor for you.Report
