We believe Fibromyalgia is an encroachment on the meninges in the upper neck. The meninges then pulling on the nerve roots coming off of the spinal cord causes them to fire irresponsible impulses to the brain and body. This gives the sufferer a sensation of pain often accompanied with burning or cold or any other sensation coming from the nerves being pulled upon. This turns the sympathetic nervous system on causing fight or flight to be the constant mode the body operates from, causing a loss of sleep, anxiety, and a shut down of the parasympathetic nervous system that controls things like digestion, sex and the moisture in the mouth and eyes, blood pressure and heart rate. We believe this is why you don’t sleep well and have IBS. This also makes you feel anxious and can cause panic attacks.
