About Santa Barbara Koi
Jill and Mark, the owners of Santa Barbara Koi, each have over 30 years of professional experience in the Koi and pond business. Santa Barbara Koi is a licensed CA contractor business and we specialize in Koi, pond design, maintenance, construction, and repairs. There are four maintenance crews of two men each that service hundreds of accounts every week in the Santa Barbara area. In addition, there are two repair crews and we also do walk-in repairs; all necessary repair parts are stocked in the retail store and warehouse. The retail store stocks thousands of Koi, all Koi and pond supplies, and water plants, including water lilies and lotus. Jill and Mark personally handpick all of our Koi in Japan every spring and fall. After delivery into the United States, the imported Koi undergo a minimum of 12 weeks in quarantine at Santa Barbara Koi's off-site quarantine facility. Santa Barbara Koi also operates a very large, as well as the only, pond equipment and parts wholesale distribution facility in the tri-counties exclusively for pond professionals and contractors. Santa Barbara Koi was, for me, an undiscovered gem until 4 years ago. I had never had a koi pond and Mark and his team have done an incredible job, both of maintaining my pond in pristine, sparkling condition and in their responsiveness to any question or issue that arose. If the issue was serious they were here within 2 hours and always solved it! And their selection of aquatic plants and koi is amazing. I unequivocally recommend them. 5 stars!Report

I moved to California a few years ago, leaving behind my koi pond I had had for over 20 years. I heard about Santa Barbara Koi and so I made a trip to Santa Barbara one weekend and was delighted to find a huge, colorful assortment of koi in their fish tanks. I had never seen such variety in one place before. The owners are unbelievably well informed about koi and how to properly care for them. They have had extensive interaction with vets from UC Davis and the University of Georgia. I felt very comfortable working with them and buying their fish knowing they were healthy and all the precautions had been taken. This is something you would never see in pet store fish. Definitely stop by if you are interested in koi or ponds.Report
