Hotel Indigo Santa Barbara

We liked the ambiance and service, but be prepared for really small rooms. The location is awesome and the restaurant next door is great!

Lots of great things to say but I should start with a caution. The rooms are very compact. If you are a big person or travel with a lot of luggage, this may not be for you. There is very little margin to get around the bed, no closet, and an ingenious but tiny bathroom. My husband and I are are medium/small people and we only had one carry on bag each. We were staying just one night so it was great for us.
The small courtyard was delightful for a glass of wine.
Staff was cheery and helpful . Loved the location, next door to a fun restaurant and close to other great places to eat and shop. Also, just a few blocks from the beach. As long as you don't
need the space, this is a great hotel.

Pro: You're in the funk zone which is very touristy, blocks from the water, and blocks from state street/ eat street. so you're in the heart of it all
Con: the hotel's parking is $20 a night and a block off site.

Pro: You wanna bar hop and come back to a close by place.
Con: If you work early or sleep early, the second floor, street facing rooms offer complementary earplugs because the businesses downstairs keep the music on loud and late, also early as well.

Pro: The hotel offers complementary bikes to ride
Con: If you go ahead and pay for your breakfast (they say its a perk, but its really included in the price of the room) You'll be directed to the restaurant next door for breakfast. For me, it was soggy, wet, garbage. At least it was plated nicely.

Pro: If you want a tiny room with a patio, they have that. Or if you want to watch the people pass by upstairs, they got that too.
Con: Its an Artsy hotel, so some rooms have really weird wall wraps on them (see google photos). The lobby and common space are colorful and okay.

Pro: Big beds, clean room
Con: Noisy beds, and crazy overstuffed pillows.

All and all its the same price as the Hilton. The IGH owns this, like the holiday inn, so why not just stay here?

Excellent staff experience, very clean room and clean common areas, located next to an excellent restaurant. Would stay here again and again.

Awesome hotel. Clean room, great service, amazing location. The hotel is located only 2 blocks from the pier and beach which has a bike path that runs the length of the beach. The hotel provides good quality bikes and helmets to guests at no extra cost.

2 things to be aware of: the rooms are small and they do not include a fridge/microwave. Still as advertised but some might miss this when booking.
