"I strongly recommend the San Diego Hybrid MBA at CalMU"
by llana

"While working for CalMU, I decided it would be the best school for me to pursue my MBA. I started in March 2009 and I opted for the San Diego Hybrid MBA. I explored the breadth and depth of business school curriculum, and discovered i love marketing and strategic management. I made great friends in business school and my classmates are doing really well in their careers. I worked hard and I graduated in December 2010! If I could do it all again, I would definitely choose to study at CalMU. I strongly recommend the San Diego Hybrid MBA at CalMU. "

"CMU's Masters of Science in Stategic Leadership Degree Program"
by CMH

"California Miramar University offers a quality education, with a great tuition rate. CMU specializes in Business Management and Leadership Degree's, which allows the staff, faculty and students to really focus on these "in demand" fields in the workplace. With courses like Conflict Resolution, Entrepreneurship, Negotiation, Change Management, and several leadership courses; I feel as though I'm ready to handle just about anything that comes my way in the workforce. I'm a bit taken back by the negative review that indicates "management isn't useful" in the job-market, as an MBA is one of the most sought after degree programs out there. As for transferring my credits (if I wanted to), I can transfer to any other college, or university that holds the same accreditation -- that's the way accreditation works. Sure, I can attend Harvard, Yale, Purdue,or SDSU, and walk away with a mountain of debt...but why would I? CMU offers a quality education at an affordable price, was ranked in the top ten business schools by the San Diego Business Journal and sure gets my vote!"

"This "university" is a scam"

"1) They are nationally accredited. Once you start with this school you must complete with them. You do have the option of transferring out but none of their credits will count. As oppose to schools like National University or SDSU who are regionally accredited (WASC accreditation is always better). 2) The university's Financial Aid Department is the worst. Jean Foster, who runs this department even if it does not say so on paper, is probably the most unknowledgeable human I’ve worked with. The university is not even qualified to give out half of the grants the other schools are (no Cal Grants). You will sign documents that state that once you are enrolled in courses, you should receive your living expenses. However, you will only receive your money when the university "feels" that you are a safe candidate and will not harm their retention rate. They do not trust their students. Even though the documents you signed do not state that this condition will apply. This is unethical behavior. By the way, work study is not available. 3) If you look up this university on Wikipedia you will learn that it is the same school as Pacific Western. Pacific Western is notorious for giving away diplomas to students who never found a job. The staff and management is the same people. Specifically the president of the University is the same person. He still receives letters from students of the past. They question why he promised that their degrees will be accredited and have lied to them. 4) They are a very limited school. If you want any majors that are useful in the job market (engineering, mathematics, sciences) they do not have any available. Don't bother showing up to the school, just call them and check. They have one classroom in their entire "campus" which the staff also uses as a conference room and a lunchroom. You have no choice of teachers, which you would in any other university. Read their BBB report and full review on Yelp. They do a lot of false advertising."

"I'm Lovin' It"

"I work full-time but still want to get a masters without having to quit my job. This place has one of the top 10 mba programs around the San Diego area where I work so I was hands down for it to begin with, not to mention the price was relatively reasonable (unlike many other pricier grad schools). Classes are only once a week and assignments are done online which provides much needed leeway for busy individuals to learn at their own pace. The instructors and administrative staff are also extremely kind and very very helpful. They provide you with all the resources you need to ensure that you're never out of the loop. And I absolutely adore the small classroom sizes. They allow for in-depth interactions with the instructor and other students. You get all your questions answered and gain a lot of insight on the way. The workload is manageable, but can be time consuming (they all have a level of difficulty to them) so you have to make sure to stay on top of it. Over all, it's a wonderful place to be, great classroom dynamics, and extremely qualified faculty. I won't ever regret choosing this place!"

"Best Online MBA Programs"
by Kate Solomon

October 07, 2011

"After hearing what some of my friends had to say about getting an online leadership degree, though, I was instantly hooked. After a couple years of graduate coursework with California Miramar University’s online MBA program, I am now a firm believer in the whole process. They gave me a rundown on what to expect from getting an online MBA degree and delivered with each item. I was able to keep my job while getting my MBA, and am now benefitting immensely from the added work experience (salary and resume) and degree. Highly recommend this for other people interested in online MBA programs – it has made a huge impact on my life and I am so happy to have listened to my friends!"

"CMU Review"
by Melvia Wong

"If you are seeking a distance- learning Masters program, I highly recommend CMU. I received an MBA with a concentration in International Business last June. It has opened doors to international consulting opportunities for me. In April 2011, I applied for and was accepted immediately in the Peace Corps Response Volunteer program in Armenia. Of course, I already had the advantage of being a Returned PC Volunteer but I know that having the required MBA assured my acceptance for this assignment as it will for future international consulting contracts. CMU's distance-learning program is concentrated and requires the student to be committed, dedicated, motivated, and to have the self-discipline to complete the course work and numerous research projects. In a long distance-learning environment, staff support is crucial. Ongoing support from the CMU staff and the Dean never let me down. They provided me with the necessary help and motivation to complete the program. CMU distance-learning programs also provide other benefits such as the convenience of studying on your own time schedule and saving money on gas. I especially liked CMU's personal touch."
