Hot Hatha Yoga is a system of yoga synthesized from traditional Hatha yoga techniques. Classes consist of a set series of postures and breathing exercises. The Yoga is ideally practiced in a heated room with a humidity of 40%. The heated studio helps deeper stretching and injury prevention, while reducing stress and tension. This demanding series of postures (asanas) and breathing exercises (pranayamas), is suitable for all ages and levels of ability. Each posture stretches and strengthens specific muscles, ligaments and joints needed for the next posture. The method also stimulates the organs, glands and nerves, moving fresh oxygenated blood to 100 percent of the body, restoring all systems to a healthy working order. These 75 and 60 minute programs promote total health through the balancing and strengthening of every system in the body in order to prevent illness, injury and limit the effects of aging. In addition, the series of postures combine skills of concentration, patience, determination and self-control, which lead to increased mental clarity and reduced stress. Heated Vinyasa Flow Yoga is the alignment of movement and breath, a method which turns static yoga postures into a dynamic flow. All instructors will utilize classic yoga postures in an energetic flow, linking movement with breath, and creating sequences that will improve the mind, body, and spirit.
