Elizabeth Elliot is a graduate of Augsburg College with majors in cello and voice and a minor in piano. She has taken extensive coursework in music education, conducting and history and has taught students of all ages and abilities since 1992, when she opened her own studio in the Twin Cities.
Liz was both Principal Cello and Principal Viola of the Northeast Orchestra, Acting Principal Cello of the Valley Symphony, Section Cellist with the Civic Orchestra of Mpls, and is currently Section Cello in SSCO.
Her students have gone on to major in music at schools such as Princeton, Lawrence Conservatory, Peabody, Vanderbilt, Oberlin, UW-Madison, Perpich Center for Arts Education, Walnut Hill and LACHSA. Many have become doctors, lawyers, scientists and teachers, as well as professional musicians.
