About Bloom Orthodontics

Dr. Thao Nguyen, owner of Bloom Orthodontics, is dedicated to treating patients with the highest standard of care and providing focused, unhurried care they deserve. She loves helping children and adults achieve beautiful smiles that can improve their self-confidence and open doors professionally and socially.
Dr. Nguyen attend University of California, Irvine on a Regent's scholarship and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in business management. After college, she was accepted into the prestigious dental program at University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. In order to become a specialist in orthodontics, Dr. Nguyen then attended the graduate orthodontics program at University of Southern California, where she received her certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree in craniofacial biology. She was awarded with the Harry L. Dougherty Award for Clinical Excellence upon graduation.
Soon after graduating, she then voluntarily took a rigorous set of written examinations (she scored in the top 5% of examinees nationwide) and clinical examinations, as well as a comprehensive review of credentials, to become board-certified.
