My philosophy as a doula is simple.  I believe that labor support is as individual as the woman who seeks it.  Each woman and partner's needs and desires are varied and it is my goal to help you have as close to your ideal birth as possible.  I educate, support and listen with no personal agenda.  This is one of the most powerful rites of passage for both the parents and the child.  For the woman she is crossing over from maiden to mother in the cycle of womanhood and the child is entering the world outside the protected environment of the uterus.  I believe every woman should have the opportunity to birth in the way she desires if medically possible.  I believe in empowering you to make informed choices along the way and in creating a loving and supportive environment for you to birth in.  There is no "right" or "wrong" way to give birth.  It is my loving intention to guide you in your own personal transformative journey.
