About The Tutoring Company

The Tutoring Company (Sacramento, CA) was founded by Nathan and Hope Vigil - a husband and wife team of dedicated educators. Between the two of them, Nathan and Hope have over 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience.



Our Directors:



Nathan received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley and his master's degree from Emory University. Prior to starting The Tutoring Company , Nathan worked as a professional editor for a publishing company in California and taught Writing and History courses at universities throughout Georgia.



Hope graduated summa cum laude from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in International Affairs. She earned her master's degree in Education from California State University, Fullerton, with a specialization in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Prior to starting The Tutoring Company, Hope worked as an English Instructor at Georgia Christian University.



Our Tutors:

At The Tutoring Company we carefully screen all of our tutors to ensure that they meet the highest standards of academic achievement, teaching ability, and personal character. All of our tutors either have college degrees from distinguished national universities or are exceptional college juniors and seniors with outstanding academic records. Our test prep tutors have complete mastery of the tests that they teach, as evidenced by their high test scores, and all our subject tutors have outstanding grades and/or advanced degrees in the fields that they tutor. In addition, all of our tutors have substantial experience as teachers and tutors.
