About Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center
Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center is a private non-profit organization funded through a contract with the California State of Department of Mental Health, grants and private donations.
Our mission is to improve the well being of caregivers and provide support throughout the caregiving process.
Eligibility - Family members living within the 13-county service area (Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo, & Yuba) providing care for a person whose brain impairment occurred during adulthood (age 18 and older) and who is not eligible for assistance from other publicly supported programs or similar benefits.
Additionally family members in Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo, Yuba Counties caring for a frail elderly (60 years old or older) person assisting them with their daily physical and emotional care.

Services Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center Offers
Information & Referral - Referrals to community resources.
Family Consultation - Assist caregivers in understanding the disease process, developing a care plan, and accessing a support system.
Family Counseling - Short-term counseling focusing on caregiving issues.
Respite Care - Time limited substitute care to alleviate caregiver stress. Available through contracted services and with a participant's share of cost based on a sliding scale.
Legal/Financial Consultation - One time consultation provided by an attorney (pertaining to long-term care planning needs).
Education & Training - Provision and/or coordination of practical, hands-on training and other professional educational programs in subjects related to research, diagnosis, behavioral management, stress reduction, etc.
