In 1974, fine wine was something Arkansas only knew of from visiting other states and countries. That all changed when Dennis and Andrea Davenport opened Popatop Bottle Shop on University Avenue in Little Rock. Through a lot of hard work and diligence, they worked closely with local distributors to bring fine wine to Arkansas. Popatop has the distinction of having the first ever Wine Day, first keg sales, first temperature controlled wine room in Arkansas and being the first to offer case discounts.
