Add ReviewIn November of 2012, our 5 year old male Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) named Prince was viciously mauled by a large dog (a coyote was suspected). The horribly wounded animal came to our back door looking for aid and comfort but unable to tolerate being handled (we later learned he had three crushed ribs and an abdominal hernia). We were referred by many vets that morning to the Carriage Hills Animal Hospital which opened early to take in our wounded pal. Even though Prince was a trooper and did not yelp in obvious pain, his injuries were serious and he required over 30 days in intensive care with multiple infusions of plasma and other herioc efforts to same him. All of the vets and vet techs who cared for our precious little dog were patient and informative and dedicated to saving Prince. Dr. Strickland even texted and sent us a photo on Thanksgiving day with an update and then exchanged texts and allowed us to visit Prince afterhours. After 46 days, Prince's wounds were closed and Carriage Hills featured our little trooper in a local magazine. We are so grateful for all of the staff of Carrige Hills for their dedication and compassion for our little family member. I half-jockingly tell all of my friends if I get hurt to take me to Cariage Hills - because of the caring and compassionate care that they gave to our "Prince". We can offer no better testimony than our loyal and loving dog is still with us and will likely be around for many more years of pleasure thanks to the staff of Carriage Hills.Report
