Candlewood Suites Auburn

I really enjoyed the stay and staff here. I plan to stay here each tune I come. The hotel was clean and it's close to shopping. Very convenient area.

We had reservations this past weekend. We got to the hotel about 10:15 p.m. to check-in. No one was at the front desk. It took her about 10 min to come to the front desk. She was out on the floor doing something. Once back at the desk she seemed like she was not having the best night. We got checked in, she gave us our room keys and we went up to our room. We had reserved 2 queen beds, not smoking. When we opened the door the room reeked of cigarette smoke, the window was open, comforters were off the bed, a Mickey Mouse pillow was on the bed, there was a dirty bowl on the counter, all the lights and tv were on. It was obvious someone was staying there or the room was never cleaned. We went back to the front desk to let her know. The only thing she had available was a queen room (1 bed) and told me she could give me a pillow and blanket for my 13 year old son to sleep on the floor. Ummmm no thank you! She did not have any roll away beds or anything like that.

We sat in the hotel lobby and had to search for another hotel room at 10:30 at night, which was not easy because there were several things going on that weekend. She had already put a hold on my card for the full amount and said she could not refund it. She took notes of what happened, apologized and told me to call the next morning. I called Saturday morning and spoke with the front desk manager. She was very nice, very apologetic and told me she would get my money refunded. They refunded some, but not all of my money. I have called several times regarding refund and yesterday I was told to email someone, emailed him with no response. Still waiting on full refund!

The only positives to the hotel are location and the employees at the front desk. Upon checking in for a 3 day stay, we found a cockroach in our bed. The front desk moved us to another room that still had cockroaches in the bathroom, a nearly empty toliet paper roll, and dirty dishes. The worst part are the beds, very very firm as in sleeping on the floor. We went to Walmart and purchased foam mattress pads. My son gave up and slept over on the desk area because with blankets. We tried to find another local hotel but couldn't find one with 2 queen beds.

We arrived at the hotel after a very stressful moving day. It was a welcome comfort to have a comfortable room that was clean. The Front Desk people were so nice and friendly.

This hotel was very disappointing. Upon arrival our room was not ready. After waiting, we entered our room. The bathroom was dirty and had some substance all over the front of the vanity. The water took over 20 minutes running before it even warmed up enough to get in. The front staff said they were aware of the issue but offered no solution.

I wish there were more Hotels as This one The Staff Are Super Stars and They Go Above And Beyond To Make you Feel Welcome And Appreciated..They Love There Jobs and It's not Just one outr Two The Entire Staff are This Way.Excellent Job.Keep These Employees There A Rare Find.Sharp Rooms And Cozy.Great Quite and Clean Safe Area Close To Everything!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. This was my second time staying at this hotel. I was pleased with my overall stay.

No hot water! When I told the front desk they said they were aware. "Just leave it running eventually it will get hot." The water was on for almost 20 mins before it got hot. The fixtures in the bathroom are covered in some film. Not a happy customer!
