About Novotny Appraisal Services

Novotny has been a full time appraiser since 1993. He has been designated as an expert witness over 30 times. He has completed hundreds of appraisals for hundred of clients, and has appraised thousands of tangible personal properties. He has performed appraisals for many different purposes including onsite oral appraisal reports for sales advisories. He was the first personal property appraiser in the USA to be certified by the Appraisal Foundation as an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor. He teaches USPAP across the country, as well as online, to other personal property app appraisers.

Related experience: In 1979 Novotny opened a 21,000 sq. ft. general antique store near LA. In 1987 he moved to an 8,000 sq. ft. general antique and rare records store with over a quarter million records. Later he opened smaller antique stores on Melrose in West Hollywood and then Novotny's Antique Gallery in Pasadena. He exhibited at antique shows and malls. Since 1989 he as been active producing estate sales throughout LA and Orange County.
