About Northwest School of Animal Massage

The Northwest School of Animal Massage was founded in 2001 in response to the growing demand for approved training programs in canine massage and equine massage in the State of Washington. Today, students seek out our programs from every state in the country and across the globe.

NWSAM was founded on three guiding principles:

1.  To foster compassion for the animal community

2.  To provide a higher standard of education for our industry

3.  To nurture the continued growth of our student body

The school offers three distinct certification courses in animal massage for the purposes of maintenance, performance and rehabilitation.  For the animal owner and professional alike, we offer short workshops in animal massage and other related topics.

Our faculty has developed a thorough distance learning option, complete with an intensive hands-on training practicum taught by professionals from within the industry.

Our faculty members are professionals with extensive fieldwork and teaching experience. Each faculty member brings their own unique approach to the classroom.

When you join the NWSAM team, you become part of a group dedicated to serving the animal, the profession and the industry.

The school is licensed by the Oregon Department of Education and the Washington Workforce Training and Educational Certification Board.
