Add ReviewMy husband had emergency surgery Sunday Feb 19th, 2023 and I cannot say enough about the staff there. They treated us with so much kindness, a special shout out to his two RN's Cassandra and Russell, thank you for all you did for us while there. I am so glad in this emergency we ended up there!Report
Was brought to Allenmore late on a Saturday via ambulance from another ER due to appendicitis. The nurse I had the first night was very pushy about narcotics, was rude and inattentive, and very difficult to communicate with. I had a ton of anxiety, as this was my first hospital stay and would be my first surgery. Thankfully, the nurse who was supporting the other patient in the room decided to step in and help comfort me and be sure the other nurse met my needs. He made the first night tolerable. EVERY other staff member was incredible. They were understanding, supportive, compassionate, funny, encouraging, and worked as a cohesive team. Surgery was smooth, surgeon was flexible on my post-op medication requests, but also reassuring so I’d feel comfortable taking something stronger to actually relieve the pain. Nurses made sure I met all requirements to get out of there as quickly as I wanted (while making sure it was safe.) They also dealt with my mom calling over and over again for updates, which is very kind haha. Highly recommend this hospital, for the staff. The bed I was in auto-adjusted all night and day, and would inflate randomly, which did make it uncomfortable the first night. Sharing a room with another patient who needed care every 2 hours meant the lights were on, people were talking, the tv was on, etc, so I definitely slept all day the next day since I didn’t have any privacy or quiet. I’m sure that’s mostly unavoidable, and the bed is out of their control. Just things to note! I was denied food and water earlier than necessary, but in their defense we didn’t have s confirmed surgery time, so they had to practice extra caution per the surgeon’s request. The surgery was two hours+ behind schedule, but I was wiped out and sleeping all day, so it didn’t really make much difference to me. Would have given 5 stars despite all of this, if it hadn’t been for the first night.Report
Was at the ER today and felt like I had been discriminated against. It was over 45 minutes for discharge. Was never given results of covid/rsv/flu or xray. Ended walking out.Report
I was here just a couple days ago for a very serious condition i've never liked hospitals at all. But this one was much better than most i've ever been to. I'd say particularly the nurses made the experience much more pleasant. Particularly Brianne and some others (I forget names easily lol) But i was constantly looked after.Report
I am currently here with my husband, and let me tell you how unimpressed I am with their care. Admitted at 4 am. My husband had an MRI at 8 am. He was told he has a stone by a Dr who came into his room for 2 minutes and said she would find the GI specialist. Then, promptly left. That was 3 hours ago. MRI was 7.5 hrs ago, and no one has come to talk to us. Meanwhile, my husband is in pain, and it took an hour for the nurses to respond to him after pushing the call button. At that point, he was a 9 in pain level. GI just came in 9 hrs later from MRI. No one told her he was here. Seriously!! He went into some procedure and was told to stay in the room. Never had a doctor come talk to me or call me. I had no idea what was happening to him or what they found. It is now after visiting hours, and I refused to leave until I at least saw him. They brought him in 6 hours later, still no idea what happened. 1 hour after his arrival, a nurse walked in and said she had no idea he was back, and she told me what happened. Not a doctor. He was there for 3 days and I saw 1 doctor for 2 minutes.Report
Everyone was nice.Report
I'm sure allot of these bad reviews are for how long things take.
Not their fault. It's how it goes

After being ignored last week and treated badly at St. Anthony's it was a breath of fresh air to come to Allenmore. I've been experiencing left side and back pain for 2 weeks and after being told nothing was wrong with me at St. Anthony's, the wonderful staff and doctor tell me I actually have pneumonia. St. Anthony didn't do a swab for flus or an ecg. But the amazing nurses and doctors here did. It was pretty quick too for a busy night. Around 5 hours for all the tests and some IV antibiotics before I was on my way home. They treated me like a person and that's so important. I'm definitely coming back here even if it takes an extra 20 minutes going over the narrows. Thank you Allenmore ER doctors & nurses. ??????Report
My aged parents insist on going to this hospital. The staff are very nice. However, visits to the room by staff are much less than other hospitals, communication with family of patient almost nonexistent. You manage alot of your loved one's care yourself. After talking to staff several times about my mother's need for dementia meds, nothing, just silence. My mom was agitated and panicked for almost her entire stay for covid illness.Report
