The employees really know how to treat their guest. Best hotel stay since Covid .Report
After surviving two tornados, a homeless man attack, and 3 previous hotels that rejected us. It seemed there was no hope until Miami's own Holiday Inn Express, bailed us out. They were incredibly accommodating given our circumstances. Mary at the front desk had given us a room in minutes, and Maria kept us fed and chatting! Companies like this only exist with employees like this. The whole staff was phenomenal I wish I had gotten all their names! See you again soon Miami! Florida < Oklahoma!Report
See above. They evening employee was not wearing any clothes besides an undershirt. He also lacked shoes. SO GROSSReport
Positive: Friendly helpful staff, a great breakfast. Negative: The room had some kind of loud mechanical hum that was constant. It also had some road noise from the interstate that was right outside the window. This was my only problem with this property otherwise it was fine.Report
You get what you expect and paid for, took care of everything I neededReport
I arrived at the property and was greeted by 24-36 mattress/spring sets leaning against the drive way pillars and on either side of the door. While I understand the location was apparently replacing with new it is not a pleasant sight to see the stained mattresses leaning on either side of the main entrance with just enough space to get to the door.Report
Once in my room the thermostat was set to hear, it was 63 in the room and the unit was blowing cold air. I set the thermostat to 70 and waited 10 minutes, the air coming from the unit did not warm up. I went to the desk and was informed by the manager it may take 30 minutes before the air begins to warm. She said the unit senses when I'm in the room and that I would need to wait out the process. She did say she would have her maintenance person come check the unit. I returned to my room, waited for an hour, the unit continued to blow cool air and the room temperature, per the thermostat did warm to 64. I was not contacted nor visited by maintenance during this time.
I decided to secure a room across the street at a competitor since the manager didn't seem all that interested in fully addressing my concern regarding the lack of heat.
Otherwise the room was clean and would have been comfortable if the heat was working properly.
I will continue using IHG properties in my travels, with the exception being any travels to Miami.
Was not our best decision to stay here; upon arriving after several hours on the road we were greeted with several nasty looking mattresses stacked outside main entrance; employees also using area to take smoke breaks; girl checking us in was dressed in sweat pants with less than personal attitude; don't think she smiled once or even acted thankful or happy to have a "Spire" customer interrupt her evening. Also upon entering room we saw and smashed a cockroach running across countertop. The room and hallway carpets looked dirty and dingy. Breakfast was less than expected, stale bagels, etc. we opted to leave and find some place else to eat. Very disappointing for HIE; clearly NO ONE is paying attention to the standards being advertised! Without major changes we would not recommend staying here.Report
