About Herschel Bingham Dean, MD

Herschel B. Dean, MD, is a native of Monroe, La., and has been a resident of Baton Rouge since 1955. He obtained his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans. Dr. Dean has been has practicing family medicine in Baton Rouge since 1969. He is married to the former Dorothy Anderson. They have 4 children and 16 grandchildren. He has enjoyed practicing medicine with his son, Kyle Dean, MD, since 1997. In Dr. Dean's time away from the office, he enjoys hunting, gardening, traveling with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren. Dr. Dean thoroughly enjoys the challenges of Family Practice and the wide variety of medical cases he has seen over his years of practice.
