Comedy With a Purpose brings a smile to the those who need it the most through comedy and charitable giving. In a world filled with so many wonderful things that life has to offer we are saturated instead with only the ills of our current society and global chaos. Through comedy we hope to offer a lighter side of life by taking the seriousness of our mundane lives and showing you how silly yet inspiring the human race can be. Since July 2009, the Comedy With A Purpose series has teamed up with The Mike James Scholarship Foundation, Toys for Tots, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Long Island and Autism Speaks to produce shows with impressive results. Everyone knows laughter is the best medicine and that's not a secret to the founder and executive director, Jamie Roberts. He has been voted Funniest Person From the Suburbs by Standup NY and has appeared on MTV numerous times. He is currently the producer and weekly host of the longest running Sunday standup comedy show in NYC called Sunday Night Live.
