More About Capitol Bank

Having put down its roots in Madison in 1995, Capitol Bank has a story that is closely entwined with that of the local community and people we serve. When it was established, the vision was for a bank that focused on local decision-making, above-and-beyond personal service, and deep roots in the community. This vision created the platform for the kind of bank it would become and the qualities which customers would come to depend on. Throughout its history, Capitol Bank has grown from a few staff members to over 50 today. When we first opened our doors, we had $5 million in capital representing the Bank's total asset base. After the first full year in business, we reported assets of $35.6 million. In 2006, Capitol Bank planted roots in the Verona community with the opening of another office, and as of September 2015, we reported assets of $302 million. Our success and growth over the long term is built on making a difference in the communities in which we live, work, and raise our families. That's why, in addition to building relationships with individuals and businesses, we also dedicate time and resources to a wide variety of community projects and initiatives. As a locally-owned and operated bank, Capitol Bank prides itself on offering truly superior customer service and building relationships that make a difference - with both individuals and businesses alike. With the Bank's clientele, we have a high concentration of business customers. Our people have a strong knowledge of the local business conditions and work hard to meet the needs of borrowers with fast, local decision-making. We enjoy working with small businesses because we are a small business, and we are committed to keeping Madison moving forward.
