Bonaventure of Vancouver

I went for a tour of this beautiful facility! Hannah was very pleasant. I was not qualified to move in but Hannah gave me some information about other facilities and she went above and beyond by calling me a week later to check up and see how my search was going! Her thoughtful act was greatly appreciated!

DO NOT go here. DO NOT work here. DO NOT bring your loved ones here. This is the worst communication skills I have ever seen. They run you into the ground with shifts back to back because people don't show up/ call out. You go from working every day to working part time. There's no communication between staff and management. If your not liked by a staff member (med tech/ caregiver) that later becomes a higher up then you will get a bull**** write up.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. Management here is dishonest and cares sooooo much more about making a profit rather than their residents. They don't keep their promises and I've watched so many residents move out because of the lack of care, understaffing, high turnover rate, and promises that aren't followed through with. The lack of communication here, throughout management and employees is enough to drive someone crazy. Please, if you're thinking about moving a loved one here, or if you're looking to work here, just go somewhere else. Bonaventure is not all it's cracked up to be, and it's certainly not worth it. It's a mess.

This place is new and looks nice and we were promised the best care for our Dad. They were very understaffed and have a huge turnover. Dad was in the memory care unit and often in his pajamas all day and when he was dressed he was wearing someone else's tattered clothing. All of his nice sweaters and jackets disappeared. He was never shaved, didn't have hearing aids in,and was left in soiled underwear. His room was appalling...the bathroom was filthy...almost always! There was poop all over toilet and on the floor...dried on..been there awhile!! His denture cleaner had never been opened! We complained...went to the top and then over the top...were told things would be taken care of...nothing ever changed!! We kept complaining and they quit returning calls. We finally got him moved out of this horrible place!! There is so much more I could tell you, but bottom line....HORRIBLE PLACE!!

We would once again like to extend an offer to speak with you about your concerns and while we were not working directly with you on these concerns we were working with other members of your family. Additionally we can assure you your concerns were taken very seriously and addressed. It would be our pleasure to invite you in to visit the Memory Care at Bonaventure of Vancouver to meet our new Memory Care Director, Whitney Plude, and see firsthand the quality care that is being given to our residents.

Please read this and do not put your loved ones in their hands. They are very understaffed and turn over is terrible. The poor caregivers that are in the memory care center have their hands full. We have tried and tried to work with these people to make things better but when one thing gets fixed two more go wrong. When you pay as much as they charge for care of your loved one you expect good care. They don't even return your calls. They promised the world and made it sound absolutely perfect and granted the facility is beautiful but care is not. We are on a waiting list for another home and we will be getting our loved one out of there. I can only speak about the memory care center but I have been told the rest of the facility is the same way.

I walked through this facility before it was ready and thought this would be a nice place. It is now officially open and residence that have been housed at another of their locations are finally moving in This one is a lot nicer than the Stark street location. So far can the staff I've run across are really nice. I'm just a visitor here.
