"I was simply appauled when hearing of this story. Also, very disappointed in this facilty. It gives a bad name to quality centers out there that would never have let this happen. There are daily "lock up" procedures that should take place in each center. This clearly was not done. Also, just because the mother did not sigh her child in during drop off, the school is also responsible of taking attendance everyday. If that was done, they would have known that this child was there. The owner tried to take the easy way out and point fingers at anyone but herself. Shameful! She is no professional in the education field and should have received a worse punishment than a probation( which is really nothing as far as DCYF standards go)."

"Call me stupid but fault should be applied to the mother as well, she failed to sign the child in and FAILED TO CALL TO SAY SHE WAS GOING TO BE AN HOUR LATE! That's not to say that the final checked should have checked more thoroughly but this is an isolated incident, an accident. She should not lose everything because some yuppie mother can't adhere to rules and a schedule."

"why is this place still open while an investagation is going on. that's the system for ya. the owner should have said i'm sorry foe the mistake,take every precaution it won't happen again and fire the director. if the owner were there more than once every 3 weeks there might not be a problem. just the rat enfested building would make me not take my kids there. not to mention the mold that was in the basement. shut it down."

"This is so scary...45 minutes is such a long time for such a young baby. I can't imagine saying that he wasn't signed in seemed like a resonable explanation to the daycare owner...seriously, it makes everyone think the baby wasn't cared for the whole day. This just makes me sick to think this could happen to my baby. This place really should be shut down. No place is so big that someone who gave one care couldn't realize there was a baby still in there. Poor thing."

I will say, i believe there is one person responsible and it is the last person to lock up for the day, it is that person who is responsible. hopefiully doctors can know whether or not the infant was fed, cleaned diapered and held..hope everyone takes their child out of your "learning center" yeh right..."
