"Contrary to other reviews, my family has had a very positive experience with the people at Genes at the old location and the new one in the Piazza at Northern Liberties. Their clothes & goods are on the upper end, and many would be difficult to find in less than 4-5 car trips around Philly and NJ. You could probably find comparable stores online, but sizing or kicking the tires around on a crib or stroller is more satisfying. Our son often rides whatever bikes and scooters they have around the store, parents can test drive strollers, and one of the owners, helped to deliver and tetris one of their gliders up our twisted stairway when we later made a purchase. Justed wanted to give them a fair shake... Walking in with questions instead of expectations never hurts either. "

"This place has a poor selection of clothing, which never seems to change with the seasons. I've given it chance after chance to impress me, and every time I've been let down. I will not return because I don't need to waste time in a store where the staff ignores me and expects me to pay outrageous prices for mediocre items."
