"On Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, i and my 86-year-old mother had a quite unpleasant experience at Kingsbury. The waitress was brisk, bordering on rude. My mother and I each ordered tea ($1.59 a piece), and I asked for milk to put in the tea. The waitress asked if we wanted a small carafe for milk or a small glass of milk. I said we just needed enough milk to put in both of our teas. To make a long story short, the waitress brought two tiny carafes of milk, and charged us $1.69. When I complained, the waitress was outright snippy, and the manger barely looked at me. The waitress said that the two carafes equalled a small glass of milk, and, thus, the $1.69 charge. First, we did not ask for the two carafes. Second, if a carafe of milk is free for one person, why in the world would you total the two free carafes and come up with a charge for a small glass of milk. In other words, if my mother and i had been seated at separate tables, neither would have been charged for the two carafes of milk, of which we each only used less than half. This is not so much about the $1.69 as it is about being treated so unfairly and rudely. It is a big ordeal to take my 86-year-old mother out. She has a walker and a very hard time getting around. Going out to eat is one of the big highlights of her life. Thus, this incident was a very big deal to us, and we will let others, especially those with elderly relatives, know so that they stay far away from Kingsbury. "
