I stayed here in February 2021. My stay was okay, I remember being very bored all the time. The only downside is that one of the techs told me and my friend that we were faking our tics and that we should stop. I am diagnosed and take medicine, and so does he. The majority of the time we watched tv and if we asked for games or coloring things it seemed as if we were asking for too much. Overall, it was okay. The food was good and I remember having a semi-good experience.Report
Dont take your loved ones here for help . One of the guys masterbated in front of me several times here in the day room and the staff refused to do any about it even though I told them several times .Report

Involuntary commited during covid times. Terrible sanitation I think they never tested any of us for covid, time there only made me more suicidal. Still can't even get my blood work from them.Report
Absolutely junk when it comes to helping Soldiers. It's just a revolving door that has a government contract.Report

I just called asking for any information about local support groups and resources that the hospital may be able to provide for recovery. The receptionist who is working right now was rude and very unwelcoming. She made me feel as if I was annoying her and asking dumb questions. If I was ever in need of care, I would never go to Red River nor will I ever recommend anyone. The person that answers the phone should be the person with compassion! If she doesn't like her job she needs to find another one. This was May 3rd 2021 almost 6:00 but wasn't quite there. This was my first ever encounter and this is why first impressions are important!Report
Came in depressed and suicidal. Left depressed and suicidal with covid 19. They never tested any of us patients for covid. I got sick in the hospital and got tested when I got out. Tested positive for covid. A month later I'm still sick. This place should be shut down in general as the care and treatment there is patheticReport
They keep patients for as long as they can to take up maximum gains and provide zero to little care in regards to therapy and psychiatric attention.
We had a Military family member there in Nov-Jan. I would not recommend this place to anyone especially the Military. They sell a good program but don't believe it. Cynthia told us they would reimburse us for gas & motel for a visit with our Military family member but after driving 1800 miles we received no reimbursement. Tried calling Cynthia who is the Military coordinator about it initially but she doesn't return calls very well. My Husband twice went their to "catch" Cynthia & the therapist in the parking lot so we could try and get questions answered. They did pay for a hotel once we got their but we had to arrange this in the parking lot. They should take care of this without us having to jump thru hoops when dealing with so much. Our family members meds were messed up 3 times. Twice they forgot to give them to him and once they wrote the in house prescription wrong and due to a holiday he had to wait for meds even though he was inpatient. He only actually saw the therapist Cazar once a week for less than an hour and most of the time was group therapy. Finally the therapist was fired in Jan. We believe they may have strung our family members stay along just for insurance payout because since day 1 the date for discharge kept changing. A 14 days stay to stabilize meds turned into 2 months. These Military members don't get a choice on where to go like civilians do and this place is messed up.Report
